Poor Ava and poor you. I've had to do the "restrain my kid while a medical professional hurts them" thing with Catie. She had to get an IV once when she was in the ER for her asthma. It was horrible. I would never wish that feeling on anyone. I kind of want to smack that nurse who told you she'd forget. Sure, by the time she's a teenager, she won't remember. But Catie is 5 and still remembers the time that she barfed on an airplane when she was 2 1/2. Kids forget, my ass. Oh god. Poor Ava and poor you. I remembered when my daughter is about Ava's age, we have to rush her in the hospital because of a high fever. She's afraid of injections, needle in particular. So when we're in the emergency room she has to be injected with paracetamol to lower her fever. She cried a lot, and seeing her in that situation crashed my heart to death. I hope Ava is okay now. Don't skip her cranberry juice, it's best for UTI. I know how you felt during that time. I remembered when my daughter is about Ava’s age, we have to rush her in the hospital because of a high fever.
